The following information was shared with the Town of Dedham by the Military Friends Foundation:

Join Military Friends Foundation for the Massachusetts Run For The Fallen 5K, a timed run, walk, and ruck honoring Massachusetts military members and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The event begins with bib pickup from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, followed by a Fallen Hero Name Reading Ceremony at 9:30 AM. The timed 5K run, walk, and ruck will begin at 11 AM.

Following the race, participants and their families are invited to attend a post-race BBQ and family celebration from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Activities will include viewing military vehicles, playing in a bounce obstacle course, and other family-friendly entertainment.

New for 2026

The event will also recognize Massachusetts police officers, firefighters and EMS professionals who have died in the line of duty since the September 11 terrorist attacks. Participants of all experience levels are welcome. Proceeds and donations remain in Massachusetts and help provide critical grants and assistance to families of fallen heroes.
