Endicott Station Accessibility & Safety Improvements Project

Project Summary

Construction is now underway at Endicott Station as part of the MBTA’s Mini High Safety Improvements Phase II program. This project will modernize station facilities, improve safety, and ensure full accessibility for all riders.

Work began the week of June 15, and the upgraded mini high platforms are expected to be open for use this winter, with additional finishing work likely continuing into 2027. (Final project timeline to be provided by the MBTA project team.)

Project Purpose

This project will bring Endicott Station up to current accessibility and safety standards while improving the overall rider experience. The station will receive significant infrastructure upgrades designed to provide safer access for all customers, including those with disabilities.

Key Improvements

The project includes:

  • Construction of two, new ADA-compliant mini high platforms with ramp structures
  • Re-grading of the existing parking area and sloped walkway at the end of Elmwood Avenue to meet ADA standards
  • Reconstruction of sidewalks along both sides of Depot Street
  • Upgrades throughout the station to improve safety, accessibility, and overall functionality

These improvements will make it easier for all riders to board trains and navigate the station, while also improving lighting, circulation, and pedestrian access.
