The Town of Dedham's Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a reliable, energetic, enthusiastic Youth Dance Instructor to lead our growing dance program for children and teens. If you're enthusiastic about teaching dance and inspiring young dancers, we'd love to have you join our team!

The ideal candidate is passionate about dance, enjoys working with youth, and can create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment. Instructors will teach dancers of varying ages and skill levels, from beginners to more experienced participants, while building confidence, creativity, and a love of dance.

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and teach weekly dance classes for youth participants.
  • Demonstrate dance techniques and provide clear instruction for individuals and groups.
  • Develop age-appropriate choreography throughout the season.
  • Prepare students for and choreograph routines for the annual end-of-year dance recital.
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Communicate professionally with Parks & Recreation staff and program participants.
